THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES (HHS) INVITES YOU TO THE 2016 HHS VETERANS CAREER EXPO TO SPEAK WITH RECRUITERS AND HIRING OFFICIALS, PARTICIPATE IN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS, AND LEARN MORE ABOUT CURRENT HHS VACANCIES.

GOALS
The 2016 HHS Veterans Career Expo will:
1. Provide a space for transitioning service members and veterans to meaningfully engage and interact with HR staff and hiring officials to learn more about finding and applying to HHS jobs, robust federal résumé writing, successful interviewing, and navigating the online job portal USA- JOBS;
2. Highlight a variety of special hiring authorities, including Schedule A (disability)Student Pathways and Veterans programs, and explain the qualifications that must be met for each; and
3. Hire talented and qualified individuals to fill current HHS vacancies at home and abroad, particularly in HHS’ mission critical occupations.

You will need a government issued photo ID to enter the building. The closest Metro stations are Federal Center Southwest (Orange, Blue and Silver lines) and L’Enfant Plaza (Green, Yellow, Orange, Silver and Blue lines). Parking garages are within walking distance of HHS.
